Maria Cristina Herrera
Maria Cristina Herrera has been Research and Policy Assistant since 2008. She holds a BA in political science from Swarthmore College. Maria's past professional experiences include organizing farm workers in the fields of Kennett Square as an intern with the Farm Worker Support Committee. She also served as a teacher intern with Teach Baltimore!, a summer program that provides high quality summer education to disadvantaged urban youth. At KRC, Maria has researched industry partnership best practices serving low-income individuals. She has also assisted with projects researching Pennsylvania economic development policies and the need to strengthen accountability when the state distributes subsidies and tax breaks to individual businesses.
