Times were tight for middle-class Pennsylvania residents before things got tough.The Keystone Research Center, a Harrisburg-based organization, reported last week that wage earners in the commonwealth saw their salaries shrink last year to the point that they are lower than they were seven years ago (in inflation adjusted dollars).

EARN is coordinated by the Economic Policy Institute (EPI) and works with a broad range of other national organizations.

The Pennsylvania Fund for Workforce Solutions (PFWS)

KRC helped catalyze and provides staff support to PFWS, managed by the United Way of Pennsylvania. PFWS supports Industry Partnerships that are creating employment and advancement opportunities for lower-skilled adults. The PFWS is a collaborative of Pennsylvania's leading funders and a site of the National Fund for Workforce Solutions.
