Harrisburg, July 17:  Today, the Keystone Research Center issued a new brief, “Corbett Pension Plan Does Not Equal Property Tax Relief: What the Pension Experts Say.” Citing the work of independent actuaries, the brief debunks the claim that Governor Corbett is making this week on a statewide campaign style tour – that his pension proposal provides property tax relief for Pennsylvania families.

The brief will be discussed today during a media briefing TODAY [Thursday, July 17 --- 11 a.m.] with Pennsylvania Treasurer Rob McCord, Pennsylvania House Democratic Leader Frank Dermody, and Keystone Research Center Executive Director, Dr. Stephen Herzenberg.

The brief is critical reading for those covering the Governor’s pension tour.
